| A FAMILY SEEKING ANSWERS

I read an article this week reiterating how Patrick Tillman, and his former wife, Mary, are still seeking definitive answers into the death their son, Pat Tillman.
The current investigation, conducted by the Department of Defense, will be the fifth investigation into Pat Tillman's death. Those of us who have not lost a son or daughter cannot even attempt to imagine the grief of Pat Tillman's family.
The following is an email response to an article on the fifth investigation into Pat's death we posted earlier this month.

Read your website about Pat Tillman - hard to say how the parents feel - everyone can be different in these situations. I remember shortly after my own son died, I wanted to know
everything. Nearly drove myself crazy.
Went through literally everything in his home, every piece of paper - anything I read that upset me; or, if I felt someone hadn't treated him right, I went to them. I could have taken on the German Army in the 2nd World War.
Then, you settle down, start going through another phase - now, I just want to remember him when he was healthy, happy, smiling.
I agree with you that finding out how Pat Tillman died isn't going to change anything and I'm sure no one intentionally killed him - I guess the parents just want to see someone pay; but, to me, the way I see it, down the road they will just feel badly about all this. I never blamed anyone for my son's's death - certainly didn't blame him.
One of the biggest heartaches I have is that he had so much to offer, could have helped so many - but as the minister said at his service - he did more in his 31 years than most of us do in a lifetime. He really had a good heart. Now, I'm crying, but that is ok. I'm not ashamed to cry. A reader
