Dang! Al and Tipper calling it quits. What is this? A divorce! I cannot believe he did not call me for advice.

F..., Al with forty years, you should have been able to have figured it out. You could have lived in a different place or tried a thousand and one ways to stay married at least in name. Hypocritical? BS.

But publicly announcing a divorce? D---, what about the kids, although grown, it still has an effect?

And, what about the great public smooch at the Democratic Convention? A kiss is no simple thing. Ask the French. I saw an entire movie called "Should We Kiss?" about the importance of a kiss.

I'm putting Al a notch above the guys like the LuvGov of South Carolina, Mark Sanford and the former governor of New York, Eliot Spitzer, but I still don't get it.

Al what gives? There's probably something we don't know, maybe like the LuvGov. "Found your soul mate, Al ?" That romantic "sirens song" may be OK for the movies; but, in real life, it's BS. Most people who come to critical stages in their marriage could figure it out, IF THEY WANTED TOO!!!

I could have helped Al if he had called me. More often than not, when people divorce, they trade one set of problems for another. I hope Al and Tipper don't write a "tell all" book. We don't want to shatter all our images. I read the LuvGov's wife's book(Jenny Sanford's book, Staying True ) The LuvGov's wife laid his a-- out and made great sacrifices for his political career. Sorry MFer!

What about Bill Clinton? Hillary hung in with his sorry-lying persona. I think Al would have been president if he had not distanced himself from Bill. I'm not a Bill fan, but he was a smart politician. I still remember at the height of Bill's debacle, Al was very supportive.

Oh well, what the h---? Is Al going through a mid-life crisis? Most men do. We are a sorry a-- lot to be honest; and, for those of us in long-term marriages, we are d--- fortunate to have found a woman to put up with our sorry a---es.

I've always admired Al's stance after George W took the election. There was doubt. And get this, I voted for George W and was happy with the court's decision. How wrong I was; and, if I could would kick my own a-- until my nose bleeds, I would.

Regardless, it was very classy on Al's part to step aside in 2000; and, in my view, he was one of the few politicians in modern times to put the country above himself. I often think, what if Al had been the Prez. Possibly no Afghanistan and Iraq wars and less pain to endure." Oh well. Al, CALL ME!!!
