DVD Review of Anthem

America is the greatest, freest and most decent society in existence. It is an oasis of goodness in a desert of cynicism and barbarism. This country, once an experiment unique in the world, is now the last best hope for the world.

Author comments on The Invasion Of the Mind Snatchers:

It is estimated that 4 million plus Americans have dementia. It is an insidious disease. Some of the most brilliant minds in every field of endeavor gradually succumb.

Invasion of the Mind Snatchers presents the mystery of this awful disease—one moment, the sufferer doesn't know they are in the world and the next, their hard wired brain is deciphering the most difficult of life's problem. What is the intriguing connection between this Alzheimer's patient and the author. The connection goes all the way back to their time in Vietnam.

Author comments on Blood Done Signed My Name :

The Klu Klux Klan's reign on the south influences a vietnam veteran's reaction to racism from childhood. In the Army and in Nam, his best friend, a young African American, causes greater reflection. He comes home from Nam, eager to start his life over, but the Klan and its influence still reign.

One man said, "I looked at my brother through the microscope of criticism, and I said, "How coarse my brother is." Then I looked at my brother through the telescope of scorn, and I said, "How small my brother is." Then I looked into the mirror of truth and I said, "How like me my brother is." Thomas S. Monson (1927 - )
